Description: The Intermediate Division is a step up in competition and difficulty from the Majors Division. This division is for the more skilled 12-year-olds and all 13-year-olds.
ALL PLAYERS will be placed on a team, but they must participate in a preseason assessment. Players will be drafted by the managers/head coaches of the division. If the coaches and assessment team believe it is more beneficial for a 12-year-old to play in the Majors Division after assessments, we will put that player on a Majors team.
Games are twice a week, during the week, which allows players to also play in tournaments on weekends. Once games start, there will be no more practices.
This division could interleague with teams from Cherry Creek Little League and Arapahoe Little League in Aurora and Ken Caryl Little League in Jefferson County.
Umpires will be provided for this division.
Postseason play includes a league tournament and All-Stars, which includes possibly one team representing the Intermediates division.
Notes:
- This division does have leadoffs.
- Games are played on a 70-foot basepath with a 50-foot pitching mound.
- There are no supplemental rules. All rules can be found in the Little League Rule Book (LINK).
All-Star info:
It is an honor to be selected for these teams, and we ask you to treat a selection in that manner.
- Players must go through a separate assessment during the season to make the All-Star team
- All-Star teams will represent Dry Creek in Colorado Little League District 5 tournaments
- District tournaments most likely will start right after July 4
- Please plan any summer vacation or other activities accordingly if you believe your child could be selected for the All-Star Team
- Should any Dry Creek teams win at the district level, they will move on to state. After state is regionals.
- All tournaments are played shortly after the previous one
